The access control is formed of uprights (1 & 2), which are fixed to the ground and which carry a low (3) and high (4) cross beams. In turn, these carry a series of vertical beams (5, 6 & 7), which are spaced in such a manner as to define a frame, which permits the passage of the animal's head. The space in the frame is occupied by a tipping lever (8), formed from a tube, mounted on a pivot (9), which is roughly in the centre of the frame. When the lever takes up either of the diagonal positions, passage of the animal's head is allowed. When the lever is in the central, vertical position, passage is not allowed and the animal's head can be retained in position. The lever is locked in the central position by means of an adjustable stop, which is formed by two uni-directional catches (31 & 32), which are mounted on a rod (35), which is designed to rotate around its own axis between an active and an inactive position.
