PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize a slag creation and prevent a slag exfoliation as well as to stabilize an arc and decrease spattering in pulse MAG welding. SOLUTION: The composition of the steel wire satisfying the following condition for the content; C: Less than 0.045 wt.%, Si: 0.15-0.50 wt.%, Mn: 1.0-2.0 wt.%, O: less than 0.020 wt.%, K: 0.0001-0.0030 wt.% Balance: substantially Fe and the following formula: 2.0>=(Si+Mn)/(0×230).
