摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an automatic analyzer having a worker unit by simplifying a worker unit driving mechanism which moves workers in a three- dimensional direction. SOLUTION: A vertical shaft 28 with an arm 41 joined to its top comprises a lower rack shaft 30 and an upper spline shaft 32 concentrically connected to the rack shaft 30 via a universal joint 31. Motors 22, 34 which can be rotated in normal and reverse directions are connected, respectively, to a pinion gear 33 which is engaged with the rack shaft 30 and the spline shaft 32 and to a spline cylinder shaft 38, and as the spline shaft 32 is raised and lowered and rotated by the normal and reverse drive of the motors 22, 34, a worker (42), 43 at the end of the arm is moved in a three-dimensional direction.
