PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing the subject polymer mixture, by which the polymer mixture is produced at a low cost in high productivity, while hardly affecting the environment and reducing dirt on a polymerization reactor by using a catalyst comprising a vanadium compound in a suspension method. SOLUTION: A polymer suspension is obtained by carrying out the first polymerization of a monomer in the presence of a catalyst system consisting essentially of a vanadium compound or a vanadium compound carried by an inert carrier, a cocatalyst consisting essentially of an alkyl aluminum of the formula Rn AlXm [R is a 1-20C alkyl; X is a halogen; (m)+(n)=3; (m) is 0-2] and optionally an activating agent to the conversion at which at least 1000 g polymer is formed by 1 g vanadium at the first step. At the second or the following step, further a polymerizable monomer, the activating agent and the cocatalyst are added to the suspension obtained at the first step and polymerized to the conversion at which at least 3000 g polymer is formed by 1 g vanadium to provide the objective polymer mixture in the method for producing the polymer mixture. |
