<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the processing unit to surely select a size of an original of a read image and to process effectively the image depending on the size without the need for recognition of the size of the original by the user. SOLUTION: The image reader 10 scans a print photograph placed on the reader 10 at a maximum size and reads the image and gives the image data to a main processing unit 20. The main processing unit 20 uses a display processing circuit 220 to fit the read image to a frame of pluralities of service sizes and displays the selected image pattern. When the user selects an image reflecting properly the read image, an operation detection section 222 detects the original size and instructs it to a synthesis processing section 206. Thus, the synthesis processing section 206 segments the read image with a selected original size to execute prescribed synthesis processing. A synthesized image is fed to a printer 30, where the image is printed out.</p> |
