摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the ideal igniting operation and to improve the efficiency thereof, by switching the ignition system between an operation where the premix combustion is to be performed, and an operation where the stratified combustion is to be performed in an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: In a system where the fuel from a fuel tank 38 is supplied to a fuel injection valve 21 to be injected into a combustion chamber 16, and the fuel is supplied by the different systems, that is, an intake stroke injection in an operation where the premix combustion is to be performed, and a compression stroke injection in an operation where the stratified combustion is to be performed, corresponding to the operating condition of the internal combustion engine, an ignition device 40 comprises a means for performing the ignition by mono-ignition system, a means 44 for performing the ignition by multi-ignition system, and a switch 46 for switching the both ignition means 42, 44. The igniting operation is performed by the mono- ignition means 42 in the high rotation.high load where the internal combustion engine performs the premix combustion. On the other hand, the ignition is performed by the multi-ignition means 44 in the low rotation.low load where the internal combustion engine performs the stratified combustion, by controlling the switch 46.</p>
