<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a general purpose optical connector which is easily adaptive to the connection of an optical fiber by a different type connector and to provide a basic plug therefor. SOLUTION: As for the optical connector 10 constituted by providing a key member 33 for positioning to a plug housing 30 for storing the basic plug 20, engagement holes 35 are bored in the end part 34 of the plug housing 30, a cylindrical tube 24 fixed in the basic plug 30 is provided with an elastic engagement piece 27, and when the basic plug 20 is inserted into the plug housing 30, the elastic engagement piece 27 is engaged with the engagement hole 35 to unite the basic plug 20 and plug housing 30. The both can easily be separated by disengaging the elastic engagement piece 27 from the engagement hole 35. At the time of the separation, keeling can be adjusted and set to the best position by changing the opposition position between the elastic engagement piece 27 and engagement hole 35.</p> |
