Controller for internal reciprocating combustion engine by direct injection

The controller prevents the deterioration of the handling characteristic because of lean burn of an IC engine with direct injection. For this reason the motor should reach an aimed-at value of torque tTe, depending on the organisation of the calculated condition of the motor, and reach a lst-motor torque caused actually by the motor torque Te to be recorded. A further calculation is of an error magnitude DELTA TO = Te-tTe, which presents the deviation between that motor torque and the lst-motor torque. Lean burn is blocked, if the error size is ATQ equal to or larger than a predetermined value.
