The device includes two cylindrical half shells made of an insulating material which can be linked together at their edges to form a tubular sleeve around an electrical connection to be protected. The two half shells are held together by tongues engaging openings provided along one of the shell edge. A locking mechanism ensures that the two halves cannot be opened by unauthorised persons.
