FIELD: communication devices. SUBSTANCE: device has encoder for encoding and compressing data for generation of compressed data, and controller for transmission of compressed data to selective call terminal. Selective call terminal has receiver, which receives compressed data, region detector which recovers compressed data in preliminary defined information region, and processor for processing of compressed data. Processor has identifier for identification of blanks in compressed data and exclusion unit for removal of identified blanks. Transmitter, which transmits compressed data, addresses them to at least one selective call receiver. EFFECT: possibility of facsimile communication which does not adversely affect operation life of storage batteries, and is compatible with power conservation circuits of storage battery. 8 cl, 9 dwg
