FIELD: electrical engineering; off-line power supplies. SUBSTANCE: power amplifier has generator and synchronous drive motor system including several three-phase synchronous motors with phase-wound stators. Rotor of each synchronous motor is, essentially, solid salient-pole magnetic core. Phase leads of stator windings of all synchronous motors are connected in series. EFFECT: reduced power requirement of drive motors compared with that of single motor at same output torque; improved efficiency of amplifier. 2 cl, 4 dwg
