<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily give a sag to a cable, by a method wherein a supporting wire and the cable are held laterally immovable but longitudinally movable in two positions downstream of incisions provided at suitable intervals in the longitudinal direction of a supporting/connection part immediately after extrusion, and pressing a force in the direction normal to the side surface of the supporting/connection part and tensile force in the reverse direction are applied alternately, only to the cable in the middle thereof, which thereafter is cooled. SOLUTION: Longitudinally extending incisions are provided by an incision cutter 31 of an incision device 3, immediately behind an extruding machine 2, in a supporting/connection part for connecting a supporting wire with a cable. Each of a pair of coaxially rotatable hold rollers 41, 42 of two sets of spaced-apart hold roller device 4 provided downstream, hold the supporting wire and the cable, resectively. A pair of push-pull rollers 54 of an intermediately positioned push-pull device 5 push and pull alternately the cable which sandwiched therebetween according to the advance/retreats of a piston of a reciprocating cylinder 52. Thereafter the cable is cooled and solidified, and an extra length is produced. Lateral movement is regulated by a pair of supporting-wire press rollers.</p> |
