<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a datagram transfer network of a cut through system on an ATM network by constituting a datagram where the set of ATM cells, which is the minimum transfer unit of the ATM network, has meaning in a host layer and using an ATM block realizing a function dealing with the set as one logic transfer unit in the network. SOLUTION: The input reception part 1 of a datagram transfer device receives the ATM cells in respective input ports and outputs them to a block abolishment control part 2. The cell reception part 2a of the block abolishment control part 2 receives the ATM cell inputted from the input port and judges whether it is the head ATM cell, namely, an RM cell or not. When it is the RM cell, information on a cell rate and information on a length, which are written into the RM cell, are outputted to a transfer/abolishment judgment part 2c. All the ATM cells containing the RM cell are transferred to a cell abolishment control part 2b and are outputted to a preservation buffer 3 based on prescribed information.</p> |
