A masking device for use during hair treatment comprises an elongate single shee t of substantially flexible material. The sheet has a plurality of chevron shaped sli ts therethrough, each chevron shaped slit having an apex and each slit being spaced one from the next in a row transverse to a longitudinal axis of the sheet. At least one adhesive zone o n said sheet extends transversely to said longitudinal axis and is disposed substantially adj acent to said plurality of slits.
