<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the general versatility, make an easy management, and reduce the manufacturing cost by providing a protector with a long branch member which have, on its outer surface, engagement grooves to be engaged with an opening section and houses a branch wire bundle. SOLUTION: A fixation piece 29 is mounted at the end of a branch member 23. After a branch harness 13 is housed in the branch member 23, the fixation piece 29 and the branch harness 13 are wound with a tape 30 to fix the branch harness 13 to the branch member 23. Nextly, the main body of a protector is slightly bent near an opening 19 corresponding to the position of the branch harness 13 and thereby a cutout 19a is expanded. With the branch harness 13 being inserted into the opening 19 through the cutout 19a, a trunk line harness 12 is housed in the main body of the protector. At that time, an engagement recess on the branch member 23 formed at any place in the longitudinal direction of the branch member corresponding to the sum of the diameter of the trunk wire harness 12 and the projecting length of the branch harness 13 is engaged with the opening 19. By this method, the general versatility of the protector can be improved and it can be managed simply, and can be manufactured at low cost.</p> |
