<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to separate a main body part and a part as the most preferential process by sending information for the separation to a control means through a connecting means. SOLUTION: When a user operates a keyboard 57, a keyboard controller 55 makes a control signal line 61 active to informs a chip set 52 of an interruption signal for separating the main body part of a notebook PC from a docking station. The CPU 51 informs the operating system in a RAM 53 that the user has tried to start the event for the separation in the interruption process according to the interruption and the OS prepares to start the separation of the main body part of the notebook PC from the docking station. Thus, the interruption signal is sent directly to the chip set 52 by the key operation on the keyboard 57, so the notebook PC main body part can be separated from the docking station as the most preferential process without using any special hardware or software.</p> |
