PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bar material supply machine that performs correct and reliable work with a small number of highly reliable sensors. SOLUTION: This bar material supply machine includes an opening type guide body 4, and a bar material 2 to be machined in the guide body is made to axially move by a supply device including a pressing body driven by a chain 25. A first digital type angle sensor 30 co-operates with this chain supply device. The longitudinal direction cam shaft 12, which co-operates with a second digital type angle sensor 35, actuates all of other actuation mechanisms of the bar material supply machine. An electric type automatic control device 31 can thus control all of the operation of the bar material supply machine according to the signals generated by the two angle sensors of a machine tool and the bar material supply machine in a reliable and correct method.
