PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a carcinostatic capable of being transferred to a lymphatic system at a high concentration with an oral administration and a slight adverse effect, and useful as a lymphatically transitional carcinostatic, containing an esterified substance of 5'-deoxy-5-fluorouridine as an active component. SOLUTION: This carcinostatic contains (A) a compound of the formula R is a 3-17C (branched) alkyl, preferably a 5-11C linear alkyl}, its salt or hydrate as an active component. The carcinostatic is used by, e.g. mixing and dissolving or uniformly dispersing the component A with (B) an oily base agent such as a vegetable oil and (C) a surfactant such as a phospholipid to obtain an oily formulation, or mixing and dissolving the component A with the component B and the component C, and adding (D) water to the resultant solution and homogenizing to obtain an oil-in-water type emulsion. |
