Door catch for vehicle

A quiet action door catch for a vehicle enables the user to gently push the door into the closed position, where a spring loaded bolt drops into place to lock the door. The spring loaded locking bolt is pulled back by a cable drive, or a linkage linked to the door release. A second spring pushes the door catch to one side, and preventing the spring loaded bolt from dropping back until the door catch, and hence the door, is pushed into the closed position again.
