PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a colored molding compound which can give a deep-color molded product without color unevenness by dispersing a powdery substance insoluble in a styrene monomer in a mixture comprising a liquid radical-curable unsaturated resin, a curing catalyst, a shrinkage lowering agent, an inorganic filler, and a pigment before incorporating the shrinkage lowering agent in the mixture. SOLUTION: The liquid radical-curable unsaturated resin is an unsaturated polyester resin, an epoxyacrylate resin or an acrylic resin. The powdery substance is a partially crosslinked (meth)acrylic ester/aromatic vinyl compound copolymer, is desirably a powder of a carboxylic resin partially crosslined with metallic ions and is a powder not dissolving in a styrene monomer at 50 deg.C or below and having a means particle diameter of 30μm or below. The powdery substance is fully dispersed in the normally liquid radical-curable unsaturated resin; the curing catalyst and the shrinkage lowering agent are dispersed in the mixture; and the resultant mixture is further mixed with a pigment and an inorganic filler under agitation. The final mixture is deaerated under reduced pressure, poured into a mold, and molded. |
