PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lubricant composition having a low friction coefficient at a high temperature and stably used for a long period. SOLUTION: This lubricant composition is obtained by blending (a) a sulfur- containing molybdenum compound and (b) one or more kinds of metal salts, ammonium salts or amine salts of organic acids selected from a carboxylic acid, an aliphatic sulfonic acid, an aromatic sulfonic acid, an alkylsalicylic acid and an alkylphenol in which the metal is selected from the metals of groups 1A, 3A-7A, 8 and 1B-6B (with the proviso that a cupric carboxylate is omitted), or one or more kinds of organic metal salt, ammonium salt and amine salt of an organic acid in which the metal salt includes the metal of groups 1A-7A, 8 or 1B-6B (with the proviso that a cupric carboxylate is omitted) having <70 mgKOH/g total base number, with a lubricant base oil. |
