PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a long fiber reinforced thermosetting resin expanded body wherein the surface of the expanded body is beautiful, without remaining a lubricant on the surface of the obtained expanded body. SOLUTION: For this manufacturing method of a long fiber reinforced thermosetting resin expanded body, an impregnated body 81 wherein a long fiber bundle 8 is impregnated with a foaming thermosetting resin liquid 21, which continuously advances, is introduced into a die from one end of the die 4, and the foaming thermosetting resin liquid 21 is expanded in the die, and after being formed and hardened into the shape of the die internal surface, the impregnated body is pulled out from the other end of the die 4, a lubricant is fed on the die internal surface before the impregnated body expands by heating and comes into contact with the die internal surface after becoming an expanded formed body, and then, an ultrasonic hardening resin is fed onto the die internal surface at a location of the die where the impregnated body completes the expansion, becomes an expanded formed body 82, comes into contact with the die internal surface, and starts hardening, and an ultrasonic ray is cast on the surface of the expanded hardened body which is pulled out from the other end of the die, and the ultrasonic hardening resin on the surface is hardened. |
