<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a staircase structure, capable of securing sufficient escape movement during earthquake and securing sufficient safety when people pass through a staircase area. SOLUTION: This base-isolating device is arranged on a column located on an intermediate floor of an existing building and a base-isolating slit 2a is formed in a wall 2 along a line at the same level as the installation level of the base-isolating device to separate the building into upper and lower floors to be supported by the base-isolating device. Treads 24, 26 of a staircase 18 arranged in a staircase room 1 on a floor where the base-isolating device is installed are formed out of two plates on the surface side of the wall 2 and the fixed side vertically divided by the base-isolating slit 2a, in such a manner that the free ends of both are superposed on each other to be relatively movable along the cross direction of the staircase 18 and the staircase 18 is installed with the lower end relatively movable to the floor face of a landing 12 in the elevating direction.</p> |
