The agricultural vehicle includes a wheel (2) connected by an arm (3) to the vehicles chassis (1). A cam (7) is fitted where the arm (3) is hinged to the chassis (3). A transmission system (12) is fixed between the wheel (2) and the cam (7) and is set to correspond to the displacement of the vehicle for one turn of the cam (7). The wheel (2) is of the pneumatic type currently used for agricultural vehicles, it has a relatively high weight of the order of 20 kilograms and a diameter of the order of 650 cms and a width of about 20 cms. The cam (7) is disc shaped having a notch (9) which cooperates with the head of an electrical contactor (11). The transmission (12) is of the chain type with a pinion (14) fixed to the wheel (2) and a receiver pinion (15) fixed to the cam (7). The pinions (14,15) are between a quarter and a third the diameter of the wheel (2).
