<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an identification mechanism without requiring a large desk top surface area by providing a program storing device housing a code for generating a pointing mode and a code for generating a finger print identification mode. SOLUTION: The program storing device housing a code for generating the pointing mode and a code for generating the finger print identification mode is provided. Namely, relating to this identification mechanism, a sensor control logic 38 includes a program storing device 40 like a read only memory and this houses a device code executed by the logic 38. This device code generates the pointing mode and the fingerprint identification mode of a pointing and finger print identification device. In the pointing mode, the pointing and finger print identification device functions as a pointing device and in the finger print identification mode, this device functions as a fingerprint identification device.</p> |
