<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a magnetic head from being unlocked by an impact transmitted from the outside after parking by providing a bimetal member which is reversibly deformed and engaged with or disengaged from the coupling slot of a turning piece by generating heat when a current is impressed upon the member from a prescribed power source to the end section of a turning shaft member. SOLUTION: A bimetal member 160 is provided in the end section of a rotating shaft member 134 and a coupling slot 136 which is engaged with or disengaged from the member 160 is provided in a swinging arm 132 as the locking means of a turning piece 130 when a magnetic head 150 is positioned to the parking area 121 of a hard disk 120. When the power supply to the bimetal member 160 is turned on, the bimetal member 160 thermally expands and gets out of the slot 136 and, when the power supply is turned off, the member 160 is not thermally expanded and fits in the slot 130 as the head 150 is positioned to the parking area 121. Therefore, the turning of the swinging arm 132 can be locked completely and firmly.</p> |
