OPTICAL DEVICE FOR OPTICAL WIRING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the optical device for optical wiring which never has loss due to reflection in a zigzag path of an optical substrate. SOLUTION: The optical device 10 for optical wiring includes a 1st guide means 17 for guiding the light from a light source 12a into an optical substrate 11 and a 2nd guide means 18 for guiding the light guided to the zigzag path 19 through the guide means 17 to a photodetector 13a. The 1st guide means 17 guides the light to the optical substrate at an angleθa of incidence where the light guided into the optical substrate 11 is reflected totally by both the surfaces 11a and 11b of the optical substrate 11 and the 2nd guide means 18 makes the light passed through the zigzag path 19 prescribed by the total reflection to exit from the optical substrate 11 to the photodetector 13a.
