PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve productivity while maintaining a throughput of whole image processing by using a memory which has a page mode for a conversion buffer and gaining page mode access for both reading and writing at the time of conversion of data order. SOLUTION: Pixel-sequential image data are packed by packing registers 301 to 304 by every 8 bits for each components of CMYK. The data packed by every 8 bits are temporarily put in one bus by MUX 309 and written to a DRAM 317 in a page mode in the order of CMYK. TO take out raster data of CMYK, the address of the page mode is controlled and only a component of one of C, M, Y, and K is taken out of another line buffer by one line. Namely, a read-out performed by a page mode access. Read data are put in 1-bit data by an unpacking register 319 to output the image data. |
