The panel, rectangular in shape with one or more lengthwise cavities (22) open at both ends, has a central section (4) and two edge sections (2, 3) with coupling elements with projections (16) and channels (17) for joining panels together. The central section has portions with lower (19) and upper (20) walls with vertical partitions (21) located on either side of a central reinforcing portion (6) with a thrust surface (25) lying in the same plane as the coupling edges.
