PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition containing a nonionic surfactant as the principal component of the detergent, having a high bulk density, a low coarse particle content, and excellent solubility and flowability, and can exhibit excellent caking resistance even when stored for a long term under high-temperature high-humidity conditions. SOLUTION: There is provided a particulate high-bulk-density detergent composition containing 15-40 wt.% nonionic surfactant, 1-10 wt.% fatty acid salt, 10-50 wt.% water-soluble inorganic builder, and 20-70 wt.% crystalline aluminosilicate. There is also provided a process for producing a particulate high-bulk-density detergent composition which comprises the steps of: (1) mixing a component containing a nonionic surfactant and at least 2/3 of the total amount of a water-soluble inorganic builder; (2) mixing a component containing a nonionic surfactant and at least 2/3 of the total amount of a crystalline aluminosilicate; and (3) mixing the mixture obtained in (1) with the mixture obtained in (2), wherein the ratio of the weight of the nonionic surfactant used in (1) to that of the nonionic surfactant used in (2) is 1:30 to 1:1. |
