EXPANDABLE POLYVINYL HALOGENIDE RESIN COMPOSITION, USE OF POLYMER AS PROCESSING AID THEREIN AND MOLDING MEMBER PRODUCED THEREFROM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an expandable polyvinyl halogenide resin composition using a polymer as a processing aid. SOLUTION: This composition contains (A) a polymer obtained by carrying out the emulsion polymerization of (i) 20-75 wt.% methyl methacrylate with (ii) 25-80 wt.% one or several kinds of 2-18C alkyl methacrylates and (iii) 0-5 wt.% one or several kinds of one or more vinylic unsaturated monomers copolymerizable with the components (i) and/or (ii) in an amount of 1-25 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. polyvinyl halogenide, (B) one or several kinds of foaming agents in an amount of 0.1-10 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. polyvinyl halogenide and (C) a usually used additive in an amount of 0-100 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. polyvinyl halogenide. The composition is an expandable, especially a freely expandable polyvinyl halogenide resin composition in order to provide a foam having a low density and improved surface quality.
