PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To judge the abnormality of the mechanical portion of an automatic transmission by comparing the detected value and set value of an engine speed change or a vehicle longitudinal acceleration change during a shift process. SOLUTION: If the power-on/up Judgment (100) is YES in the power-on/up shift from the second speed to the third speed, for example, a timer is set to t1 and t2 for the change of an engine speed (102). The engine speed NE1 is measured at time t1 (103), the engine speed NE 2 is measured at time t2 (104), andΔR=(NE2 -NE1 )/(t2 -t1 ) is calculated based on the measured values (105). The calculated rate of change in timeΔR of the engine speed is compared with the predetermined rate of change in time (b) (106). IfΔR<=b, some abnormality of a mechanical portion occurs, a second-speed clutch is released, and the shift-up to the third speed is stopped (107) with a brake kept engaged. |
