PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of eliminating image noise from data after image enhancement by an MTF correction processing based on the level of input image data. SOLUTION: A level detector 204 detects the level of input images by comparing the inputted image data with a detection level selected in a selector 401 in a comparator 402. The comparator 402 outputs '1' for input equal to or higher than the detection level and outputs '0' for the input lower than that. The input images lower than the detection level are light images or the image noise of a base density level. In this case, for a level detected result, '0' is sent to the selector 206. The detection level of the level detector 204 is set by selecting a threshold in the selector 401 by a control part. When the detection level is high, the image noise is easily recognized and a noise elimination effect is enlarged. When it is low, it is hardly recognized and the noise elimination effect is reduced. |
