The apparatus consists of a sleeve (2) designed to be introduced along a guide wire (1) to the implant site and having a manual control handle at its proximal end, connected to a tool at its distal end by a supple rod (5), forming a Bowden cable-type assembly with the sleeve. The distal end tool has at least two jaws (8, 9) which are pivoted at their rear end to a hollow and elastic articulated joint (7), the jaws being opened by pushing on the hollow rod and closed by retracting them into the end of the sleeve. The inner surfaces of the jaws are shaped to receive the implant. |
