ONE SIDE HARDENING APPARATUS FOR FLAT PLATE ANNULAR WORK AND METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the selection of frequency and the designing of the shape of a high-frequency heating oil without the occurrence of strain in spite of high-frequency quenching of a flat planar annular work and to ensure safety in terms of handling. SOLUTION: This apparatus has the high-frequency heating coil 100 facing one surface W1 of the flat planar annular work W, a first cooling jacket for injecting a coolant L to the heated portion by the high-frequency heating coil 100, a second cooling jacket 200 for injecting the coolant L to the other surface W2 on the non-heated side of the high-frequency heating coil 100 and a turn table 300 as a moving means for relatively moving the flat planar annular work W and the high-frequency heating coil 100. The second cooling jacket 200 is adapted to inject the coolant L to the position where a prescribed temp. is attained as a result of the transfer of the heat from the heated one surface W1 to the other surface W2.
