<p>A method and apparatus for preventing fraudulent use of a telephone is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of: 1) collecting an incoming call data of a user; 2) comparing said incoming call data with the user communication characteristic data; and 3) according to the comparison results, executing determined operations.
