<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To delete a moving video image automatically from a photographed image. SOLUTION: A dynamic image signal generated by a CCD or the like is fed to a motion detector 200 and an image memory 202. The motion detector 200 detects a motion vector for each macro block from a received dynamic image signal and gives it to a vector comparator 201. The vector comparator 201 compares the magnitude of this motion vector with a magnitude of a reference vector received separately, produces a control signal based on the comparison result and gives it to an image memory 202. Upon the receipt of the control signal denoting if the motion vector is larger than the reference vector, the image memory 202 does not update a corresponding macro block but stores the macro block in, e.g. a preceding frame. Thus, a processed image signal, from which a video image with a motion of a prescribed value or over, is generated and a coder 203 applies compression coding to the signal in compliance with the MPEG 2 standards or the like and a recording system 204 records the resulting signal.</p> |
