A composition comprising cinnamic acid or its derivatives is used for improving exfoliation of the skin, stimulating the epidermic regeneration and/or treating intrinsic and/or extrinsic cutaneous aging. An Independent claim is also included for the non-therapeutic treatment for improving exfoliation of the skin, stimulating the epidermic regeneration and/or treating intrinsic and/or extrinsic cutaneous aging by applying a cosmetic composition comprising cinnamic acid on the skin.
