Friction clutch for motor vehicle, with wear compensation

The clutch has an operating mechanism supported on the clutch cover, and includes automatic adjustment. The motor vehicle friction clutch with the clutch and de-clutch mechanism is supported by a cover (15) which is integral with a flywheel (11) which is driven in rotation. The mechanism acts upon a pressure plate (14) and a clamping friction disc (12) with friction linings (13) between the pressure plate and the flywheel form a reaction plate. A hydraulic actuator (40) is provided to control the movement of the linkage, with an electric motor included to assist operation of the actuator. A wear take-up device is mounted inside the clutch element with a control determining the adjustment provided by the wear take-up device.
