PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the pointing device for computer connection which has the advantages that the device is neither bulky nor left behind when carried by combining the power supply device and pointing device into one. SOLUTION: The power supply device 3 and pointing device 2 are combined into one. In this pointing device 2, the electric power is supplied from an outlet 12 to the input interface 8 of the power supply device 3 through a dedicated cable 11. The electric power after being converted and accumulated in the power supply device 3 is supplied to the input interface 5 of a personal computer 1 through a dedicated cable 10. Pointing information obtained through user's operation is converted in the pointing device 2 into a signal, which is sent from an output interface 6 to the input interface 5 of the personal computer 1 through the dedicated cable 10.
