<p>A file converter having a means for converting a source file into a destination file according to the conversion mode selectively preset by the conversion mode presetting means. The file conversion means comprises the steps of: inputting as a source file machining programs for numerically controlled machine tools containing NURBS interpolation commands; analyzing each inputted machining program successively; dispensing with conversion except on the NURBS interpolation command portions of the program; converting the NURBS interpolation command portions into a minute segment interpolation commands, spline interpolation commands, or NURBS interpolation commands with different specifications of representation according to the conversion mode selectively preset by the conversion mode presetting means to generate a destination file.</p> |
