PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deformation such as warping of a thin tatami mat caused by moisture absorption/emission of a wooden board by in a laminated fashion sticking moisture impermeable sheets constituted of in a laminated fashion sticking paper on both sides of a synthetic resin film on both sides of the wooden board and by constituting the thin tatami mat thereof. SOLUTION: Moisture impermeable sheets 2 are in a laminated fashion stuck to both sides of a wooden board 1 to be formed into a core material for a thin tatami mat. The wooden board 1 is constituted of a wooden fiber board, a particle board, a hard, and a laminated plywood, the moisture impermeable sheet 2 is constituted by in a laminated fashion sticking paper 4 on both faces of a low moisture permeable, thermoplastic, and general plywood resin film 3 of the thickness 30μm or more via pretreatment such as corona discharge and primer coat, and the moisture permeability is set to 100 g/m<2> .24 hr or less. A cushion material such as a nonwoven fabric, felt, and a foaming sheet is laminated on the core material as necessary and natural rush or synthetic resin imitation rush is sewn thereto so as to be formed into a thin tatami mat. This constitution can effectively prevent the deformation such as warping and deflection of the thin tatami mat generated by moisture absorption/emission of the wooden board 1.
