The invention concerns a generator comprising at least an electrochemical cell (2) consisting of a cathode (6) comprising a porous conductor support (6a) supplied with oxygen or a gas containing oxygen (6b) and enabling said oxygen to be reduced, the support (6a) acting as cathode collector; a diaphragm (5) in electrolytic contact with the support (6a); a conductor support acting as anode collector (3), the anode consisting of pulverulent metal in the form of an anodic paste (4) combined with an electrolyte, the paste capable of being displaced to be in contact with the diaphragm (5) and the anode collector (3) and, during its displacement, gradually transformed, at least partially, into an oxidised metal paste and the oxygen being reduced so as to produce electric power, the electrodes being connected by an external circuit. The support (3), the diaphragm (5) and the conductor support (6a) are substantially of similar shape, mounted mutually parallel, the diaphragm (5) and the support (3) being mutually spaced to constitute a cavity wherein the paste (4) is urged to be displaced along a strip, the device feeding the paste (4) into the cavity being shaped such that in flowing conditions, the paste matches entirely the cavity section without any break. |
