<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively reduce power consumption by preventing the reduction of convenience in handling display on a liquid crystal display part. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a liquid crystal display part 2, back light 8 to the liquid crystal display part 2, a power source for back light and a control part for controlling the supply of that power source 7 to the back light 8 and while a current value is within a prescribed control band such as a temperature setting band in a power consumption reduction mode, control is performed so as to reduce the consumption rather than the case the power consumption of the back light 8 is out of the control band. In this case, this device is provided with a consumption reduction mode selection operating part 4 to be operated for selecting a change into power consumption reduction mode and an off/quenching selection operating part 5 to be operated for selecting either the turning-off state of the back light 8 or quenching state while the consumption reduction mode selection operating part 4 selects the power consumption reduction mode.</p> |
