The invention relates to a method of controlling a subsea platform. The method comprises a step of providing a database containing object information of objects identified in an environment wherein the platform is operating, and a step of generating visualization data of said objects. Further, the method camprises a step of receiving camera image data from a camera unit disposed on the subsea platform, and a step of composing an image structure basedon the object visualization data and the camera image data. Here, the visualization data of said objects are generated using synthetic models thereof.
