PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject treatment agent uniformly applicable onto a synthetic fiber in the form of an aqueous emulsion even if its pickup is reduced, excellent in stability, and affording the object synthetic fiber with smoothness and drawability in fiber manufacturing process and with process passability in fiber post processing stage, and to obtain a synthetic fiber causing no base fabric staining and/or unevenness in dyeing due to a lubricant detached during weaving and/or dyeing processing stages, and suitable for, in particular seatbelts and industrial material fabrics such as heavy fabrics. SOLUTION: This treatment agent for synthetic fibers is such one as to be in the form of an aqueous emulsion afforded by high-speed fluid jet particulate formation, containing the main lubricant component comprising (A) 40-90 wt.% of a smoothing agent component consisting of an ester compound 400-1,000 in molecular weight and (B) 10-60 wt.% of an emulsifier component consisting of a nonionic surfactant 500-10,000 in molecular weight; wherein the average particle size of the lubricant component is <=1μm. |
