PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the pressure vibration in an ink room in the early stage for printing with a sufficiently high speed. SOLUTION: The driving method executes ejection of ink droplets for a plurality of times according to the steps of applying a driving pulse voltage for increasing the volume in an ink room for a time AL, which is a time required for propagation of a pressure wave from one end to the other end in the ink ejecting direction, applying a driving pulse voltage for reducing the volume in the ink room for a time 2AL, stopping application of a driving pulse voltage for the time AL, and repeating the same timing operation. In this case, after application of a driving pulse voltage for ejecting the last ink droplet for forming one dot liquid droplet for the time 2AL, application of a driving pulse voltage is stopped for the time AL, and thereafter, a damping pulse voltage dp is applied in the direction for reducing the volume in the ink room. |
