METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INSERT MOLDING OF SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly perform the insert molding of a sheet by suppressing and preventing melt deformation of the sheet. SOLUTION: The cavity 2 of a mold 1, a runner system 4 introducing a molten molding material 3 into the cavity 2 and a deformation preventing means 5 for a sheet 29 protruding a leading end part 29a into the cavity 2 are provided. The gate 20 of the runner system 4 is provided to the fixed side 6 of the mold 1. The deformation preventing means 5 is constituted of the deformation prescribing element 22 becoming the surface contact state with the leading end part 29a of the sheet 29 from the fixed side 6 of the mold 1 at the time of forward operation and returning from the leading end part 29a of the sheet 29 at the time of return operation to form a part of the fixed side wall 2a of the cavity 2. Since the deformation prescribing element 22 comes into contact with the entire surface of the leading end part 29a of the sheet 29 at the time of an injection process, the pressure and heat of the molding material 3 are transferred to the deformation prescribing element 22 through the leading end part 29a of the sheet 29.
