<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the system to multiplex packet data consisting of divisions of multimedia data in the unit of a prescribed number by respective information sources comprising pluralities of different kinds of media and a plurality of same kinds of media in a way that its demultiplexer side can take synchronization among the media for reproduction. SOLUTION: A media ID 4 is used to identify information sent in a form of a packet and consists of a media type 41 (bit length: b 41-bit) and of same media identification information 42 (bit length: b 42-bit). The media type 41 is represented by media identification codes assigned corresponding to each medium such as audio (monaural, stereo), still image (low resolution, high resolution), and video (low resolution, high resolution). The same media identification information 42 is used to identify packets whose media type 41 is the same but whose information sources differ. Furthermore, the system ensures synchronization among the media by using a time difference 523 from other media packet.</p> |
