PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject cell capable of properly analyzing a sample in supercritical water. SOLUTION: A cell 10 is equipped with a sample chamber 14 for introducing sample component-containing supercritical water and a total reflection prism 16 including the narrow planar leading end part closely adhering to the sample component-containing supercritical water of the sample chamber and allowing infrared rays L1 to be incident on the leading end part to totally reflect the same and the total reflection light L2 obtained from the incident infrared rays L1 by the total reflection prism 16 is used in the analysis of the sample in supercrinical water.
